February 28 (SeeNews) - Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] posted a net profit of 206 million lei ($47 million/43 million euro) in 2019, down from 230 million lei a year earlier, the company said on Friday.
Operating profit fell to 234.2 million lei last year, from 260.9 million lei in 2018, Electrica said in an unaudited consolidated financial statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
Revenues rose to 6.28 billion lei in 2019, compared to 5.6 billion lei at the end of 2018.
Earnings per share fell to 0.61 lei, compared to 0.68 lei.
Electrica's total assets amounted to 7.8 billion lei at the end of last year, up from 7.52 billion lei at end-2018.
On February 26, Electrica's shareholders approved an investment plan for 2020 worth 678.2 million lei.
Shares of Electrica, in which the Romanian state owns a stake of 48.8%, are listed on the BVB and the London Stock Exchange.
Electrica's shares changed hands 3.83% lower at 10.05 lei by 1035 CET on Friday in Bucharest.
