September 28 (SeeNews) - Romanian electricity and natural gas distributor Delgaz Grid, a member of Germany's E.ON group, said on Wednesday that it has invested 1.2 million lei ($233,600/242,700 euro) in the upgrade of its Carbonifera power transformer station in Bacau county, in the northeast of the country.
Delgaz Grid modernised the transformer station's high and medium voltage equipment and made possible its interconnection with the Moinesti and Comanesti stations, facilitating the access to alternative power supplies in the event of breakdowns, the company said in a press release.
Over 7,300 household consumers in the Valea Trotusului area will benefit from the upgrade, it added.
In 2022, the company plans investments of 720 million lei.
Delgaz Grid operates a natural gas network of over 24,000 km and an 83,00 km electricity grid in northern and western Romania.
