The tender was launched for the acquisition of design and execution services for the upgrade of the first lot of the railway section Bucharest North - Jilava - Giurgiu - Northern Frontier, CFR said in a press release.
The project is part of a bigger one which aims to reopen for railway traffic the bridge over the Arges river between Vidra and Comana communes.
The contract will be financed by non-reimbursable funds under the EU's Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020.
The project's design must be ready within 6 months, while the term for the execution of modernisation works is 24 months. The deadline for the submission of offers is March 24.
