May 14 (SeeNews) - Romania current account balance showed a deficit of 1.212 billion euro ($1.362 billion) in the first three months of 2019, compared to a gap of 1.027 billion euro in the same period of last year, the central bank said on Tuesday, citing provisional data.
The deficit on trade in goods widened by 895 million euro, the surplus on services income decreased by 112 million euro, the primary income balance recorded a surplus of 91 million euro compared to a deficit of 589 million euro, and the surplus of the secondary income balance increased by 142 million euro.
Romania's current account balance showed a deficit of 9.416 billion euro in 2018, compared to a gap of 5.970 billion euro a year earlier.
