January 31 (SeeNews) - Romania's antitrust authority said that it has approved the agreed takeover of local supplier of household products Enigma Trading 2000 by marketing and distribution company Maresi Austria.
An analysis by the Competition Council established that the notified transaction poses no significant threats to the national market and that there are no serious doubts regarding its compatibility with a regular competition environment, the antitrust authority said in a press release on Tuesday.

The price of the takeover was not disclosed.
Established in 1994, Enigma Trading 2000 specialises in supplying and distributing polyethylene and polypropylene household products. They offer a range of items which can be found in modern retail chain networks, smaller stores, and distributed through various channels across Romania.
Maresi Austria is a fast-moving consumer goods supplier established in 1955. It has offices in in Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest and Bucharest.
