January 27 (SeeNews) - Romania's competition authority said on Monday that it has approved the takeover of Romanian brick and tile manufacturer Siceram by Leier ROM, the local subsidiary of Austrian construction group Leier.
"Following a review of the transaction, the Competition Council has found that it does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition in the market, in particular by establishing or strengthening of a dominant position," the anti-trust body said in a statement.

Siceram is a company based in Sighisoara, central Romania, which manufactures mainly bricks, tiles and other products from burnt clay.
