September 9 (SeeNews) - Most of the Romanian stock indices ended in the red on Tuesday while turnover soared, data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, indicated.
The bourse's total equity turnover increased to 65.8 million lei ($19.2 million/14.9 million euro) from 14.1 million lei on Monday. It was boosted by two block deals with shares of blue-chip companies Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] and Electrica [BSE:EL] for a total of some 45.6 million lei.
In regular trading, investment fund Fondul Proprietatea lost 0.57% to 0.8745 lei in Tuesday's largest turnover of 2.8 million lei.
Power distributor and supplierElectrica fell 0.17% to 12.1 lei in the second-largest turnover, of 2.2 million lei.
Investment fund SIF Transilvania [BSE:SIF3] decreased 0.31% to 0.2941 lei in 998,066 lei turnover, the day's third largest.

BET-XT tracks the 25 most liquid companies on the bourse and ROTX tracks Romania's 15 most liquid stocks, a joint index of the Bucharest bourse and the Vienna Stock Exchange.
