October 30 (SeeNews) - Romanian stock indices mostly climbed on Friday while turnover also increased, data from the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, indicated.
BVB's total turnover from transactions with shares jumped to 87.7 million lei ($21.8 million/19.8 million euro) from 27.3 million lei on Thursday. Six block deals with shares of blue-chip lender Banca Transilvania [BSE:TLV] generated a turnover of 19 million lei on Friday.
In regular trading, Banca Transilvania rose 2.42% to 2.5350 lei in Friday's largest turnover, of 24 million lei.
Blue-chip investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] lost 0.24% to 0.8200 lei in the second-largest turnover, of 18.4 million lei.
Blue-chip natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] fell 0.51% to 29.2000 lei in 8.2 million lei turnover, the day's third-largest.
