October 11 (SeeNews) - Romanian health services provider Sanador said on Thursday it has inaugurated an oncology centre in Bucharest following a 20 million euro ($23.1 million) investment financed from own funds and bank loans.
The Sanador Oncology building has an area of about 5,000 square metres and bis equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies, Sanador said in a press release.
"The oncology patients' need for treatments is very high, especially with regard to radiotherapy, and the capacity of the centres is currently insufficient," Sanador general manager Doris Andronescu, said.
In Romania there are 126,000 malignant cancer patients enrolled in the National Oncology Program.
Established in 2001, Sanador now operates a hospital, five clinics, an oncology centre and a laboratory in Bucharest.
