February 17 (SeeNews) - Romanian software company Zitec said on Thursday that it plans to hire 120 this year and is looking to take over blockchain development companies.
In 2021, mobile development and blockchain services generated revenues of 1.6 million euro ($1.82 million) for Zitec, following the takeover of blockchain development company at the end of 2020, Zitec said in a press release.

Company representatives said they are in talks to take over similar companies.
In 2022, the company is looking to hire more than 120 specialists. Last year, Zitec hired 115, bringing its staff to 265.
Zitec’s turnover last year rose by 68% to 17.9 million euro, driven by growth in business segments such as product development, Google and Microsoft Cloud solutions, digital marketing, mobile and e-commerce.
The company’s client portfolio increased by over 50 new clients from various industries such as Pfarma.ro, Brico Depot, Karcher Romania, Finqware, Fashion Days, Decathlon Czech Republic, Freshful, Flip.ro or eMAG marketplace.
"We have been working on developing each line of business so that we can now say that we offer a complete portfolio of digital transformation solutions, from product development custom software and online marketing services for companies to digitalisation solutions for public administration, to projects developed with the help of the latest technologies, such as blockchain, AI or machine learning,” Zitec CEO and co-founder Alexandru Lapusan said.
Zitec offers a complete range of services which includes IT consulting, planning and developing web projects, blockchain, SEO optimization and performance marketing.. The company was founded in 2003 and has offices in Bucharest and Brasov.
