April 26 (SeeNews) - Romanian cloud infrastructure technology company Bunnyshell said it raised a further $4 million ($3.66 million) to finance its expansion in the US market, after attracting a 1.1 million euro investment last year.
The funding comes from Early Game Ventures (EGV) and RocaX Ventures, both Romanian venture capital firms, Bunnyshell said in a press release last week.
EGV was backed Bunnyshell's expansion plans in 2021, as well.
“We plan to focus more on the market in North America and help more CTOs and engineering leaders release faster and unleash bottlenecks. The complexity of today’s software architecture, with cloud native services, security policies, datasets and more, makes managing environments a complex process that requires multiple DevOps engineers. We established Bunnyshell so that developers can focus on delivering code and so that organizations can ship faster without the need to hire dozens of DevOps engineers,” explained Alin Dobra, Bunnyshell co-founder and CEO.
Founded in 2018 by Roxana Ciobanu and Alin Dobra, Bunnyshell is an Environment as a Service (EaaS) platform which facilitates the creation and management of full-stack environments for development, staging, and production.
Bunnyshell reported a breakeven result on a turnover of 1.125 million lei ($249,000/228,000 euro) in 2020, according finance ministry data.
