March 29 (SeeNews) - Romania's health minister Sorina Pintea said on Friday that the finance ministry is negotiating with the World Bank an 800 million euro ($898 million) loan to support family doctors.
The money would be used to pay for additional services provided by family doctors and community healthcare workers as well as to ensure better access to primary health services, the health ministry said in a press release.
The World Bank financing will also go to provide medical equipment, as well as for the training of primary medicine staff.
