February 13 (SeeNews) - Romania posted the second sharpest annual decrease in industrial production in December among EU member states for which data is available, after Estonia, the bloc's statistical office said.
In December, Romania's industrial output fell by 8.9% year-on-year, more than it fell in November (by 7.5%), when Romania was on the same spot in the statistics, Eurostat said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's industrial production edged down 0.2%.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, Greece recorded EU's third-highest monthly increase in industrial output - by 2.5%.
