November 30 (SeeNews) - PowerChina plans to complete a 30 million euro ($34.1 million) project for the construction of a 30 km section of the Milos Veliki motorway in central Serbia, by 2023, the Serbian government said.
The section includes a 9.4 km bypass road in Gornji Milanovac, the government said in a statement on Monday, following the official launch of construction works.
PowerChina signed a contract for the construction of the section on November 12.
When complete, the Milos Veliki motorway will span approximately 258 km, linking Belgrade to the Boljare border crossing with Montenegro, through Cacak and Pozega. Milos Veliki is part of Corridor XI, a ferry/motorway corridor linking Italy's Bari to Romania's Bucharest via Montenegro's Bar port and Belgrade.
