January 20 (SeeNews) - China's Power Construction Corporation (Powerchina) is interested in the construction of Vozd Karadjordje, a motorway linking European transport Corridors X and XI in Serbia, the deputy general manager of the company, Xiong Lixin, has said.
Powerchina considers participating in multiple projects in Serbia, including Vozd Karadjordje, Lixin said during a meeting with Serbian infrastructure ministry state secretary Miodrag Poledica in Belgrade on Friday, according to a press release by the ministry.
Serbia will complete the drafting of project documentation for Vozd Karadjordje in 2020, prime minister Ana Brnabic said earlier this month.
Investment in the construction of Vozd Karadjordje will total up to 2.4 billion euro ($2.6 billion) depending on the length of the motorway, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic said in August.
