September 1 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) fell on losses in blue chips Podravka, Adris, and Hrvatski Telekom, as turnover more than doubled, bourse data showed on Thursday.
The 22-share blue-chip index, the CROBEX, slipped 0.44% to close at 1,991.93 points. The narrower CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, lost 0.57% to end at 1,191.52 points.
Food and pharmaceuticals producer Podravka [ZSE:PODR] was the most liquid stock on Thursday with a turnover of some 3.5 million kuna ($462,000/465,000 euro). Its shares shed 1.72% to close at 570 kuna.
Preferred shares of diversified holding company Adris [ZSE:ADRS2] declined 0.73% to end at 408 kuna in a turnover of 1.9 million kuna.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] lost 0.53% to finish at 186 kuna in a turnover of 1.3 million kuna.
Shipping company Atlantska Plovidba [ZSE:ATPL] ranked fourth by turnover with some 932,000 kuna. Its shares gained 2.26% to end at 407 kuna.
Hotel owner Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT] appreciated 1.60% to end at 254 kuna on the news that its business in the Adriatic country in July and August exceeded the management’s expectations, with the aggregate unaudited revenue for the two months exceeding the revenue for the same period in pre-pandemic 2019 by more than 20%.
The bourse's total trading turnover rose to 10.6 million kuna from 4.1 million kuna on Wednesday.
