January 16 (SeeNews) - Serbian oil company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices rose, bourse data showed.
A total of 1,554 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.066 million dinars. NIS shares closed 0.29% lower at 687 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed 0.93% higher at 704.25 points on Wednesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, increased by 0.56% to 1,524.67 points.
The total turnover on the bourse dropped to 1.6 million dinars ($15,419/13,523 euro) on Wednesday from 242.1 million dinars on Tuesday, as 212 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 49,300 dinars.
No bonds were traded on Wednesday.
