The German company noted that this will be the first wind farm in eastern Serbia.
The turbine deliveries are expected to be made in the spring of 2023 and the wind farm should be commissioned at the end of the year. Its future output is estimated at 310 GWh per year, which equates to about 1% of the country’s power use, according to Nordex. The company will be servicing the turbines over a period of 25 years.
Mihailo Jankovic, CEO of the MK Group, commented that the Serbian investment firm has 800 MW of wind and 660 MW of solar projects under development, either solo or in joint ventures. This represents a total investment of 1 billion euro ($ 1.047 billion), to be made over the next five years.
