March 14 (SeeNews) - The Romanian subsidiary of Noark Electric Europe, a company specialised in the development, production, and distribution of low-voltage electrical equipment, has opened a logistics centre in Bucharest to serve both the domestic and regional markets, local media reported.
Located in a logistics park owned by France's FM Logistic, Noark Electric Romania's new facility will be equipped with an advanced warehouse management system that will reduce delivery times by 50%, Agerpres news agency reported on Tuesday.
The value of the investment was not disclosed.
The new logistics centre will serve the Romanian market as well as the Bulgarian and other Balkan markets. It has over 2,000 pallets stocked exclusively for the Romanian market and ensures inventory for a turnover of 3 to 4 months, processing approximately 2,000 order lines per week.
"The logistics centre is another step towards meeting the needs of our partners. This investment guarantees swift deliveries for all regional projects, halving delivery times and streamlining costs for our partners, regardless of their scale," Agerpres quoted Eugen Toma, country manager of Noark Romania, as saying.
Noark Electric expanded into the European market 12 years ago. It is part of a multinational group with over 40,000 employees worldwide,
