May 6 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices closed up, bourse data showed.
A total of 10 million NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 7.196 billion dinars. NIS closed up 0.19% at 530 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.09% at 820.11 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.12% at 1,660.18.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 7.219 billion dinars ($65 million/61.4 million euro) on Friday, up from 28.8 million dinars on Thursday, as 99 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 679,027 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 5.6 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
The Belgrade Stock Exchange will be closed on May 2 and 3 due to public holiday.
In the period between May 4 and 6, BELEX15 went down 0.85%, while BELEXline fell 0.15%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 7.544 billion dinars, versus 88.9 million dinars last week.
Treasury bonds trading turnover totalled 274.0 million dinars this week, down from 11.5 million dinars last week.
