January 23 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover and led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 17,573 NIS shares changed hands in turnover of 13.2 million dinars. NIS closed up 1.08% at 749 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.30% at 803.45 points.
Aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 2.94% to 3,500 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.18% at 1,728.40.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 946.4 million dinars ($8.9 million/8.1 million euro) on Wednesday, up from 5.6 million dinars on Tuesday, as 151 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 416,563 dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 931.8 million dinars ($8.8 million/7.9 million euro) to the total turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
