April 10 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,973 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 2.2 million dinars. NIS won 0.96% and closed at 737 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.86% higher at 739.29 points.
Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 3.32% to 2,898 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.67% at 1,586.75.
The total turnover on the bourse decreased to 17.7 million dinars ($169,183/150,021 euro) on Wednesday from 20.2 million dinars on Tuesday, as 149 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 840,080 dinars.
No Treasury bonds changed hands on the stock exchange on Wednesday.
