December 19 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 43,213 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 29.9 million dinars. The company closed up 0.58% at 691 dinars.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 5% to 630 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 1.11% to 762.05 points on Wednesday. The index rising 0.90% on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.81% at 1,579.29 points on Wednesday, after growing 0.57% on Tuesday.
Agricultural chemicals producer Galenika Fitofarmacija [BEL:FITO] paced the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 0.92% to 2,700 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse decreased to 63.7 million dinars ($614,115/538,602 euro) on Wednesday from 239.7 million dinars on Tuesday, as 208 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 92,250 dinars.
