April 22 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Monday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 10,850 NIS shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 8.1 million dinars. NIS lost 0.80% and closed at 740 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session 0.11% lower at 748.34 points.
Civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers' list as its share price rose 1.16% to 698 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.05% at 1,598.48.
The total turnover on the bourse increased to 1.213 billion dinars ($11.5 million/10.3 million euro) on Monday from 10.3 million dinars on Friday, as 237 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 13.3 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 1.189 billion dinars to the total turnover on the stock market on Monday.
