January 30 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover and led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as stock indices increased, bourse data showed.
A total of 4,635 of NIS' shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 3.2 million dinars. NIS' share price rose 0.29% to 684 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed 0.16% higher at 699.87 points on Wednesday.
Soybean processing company Sojaprotein led the blue-chip gainers' list, as its share price rose 8.48% to 179 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, went up 0.44% to 1,521.34 points.
The total turnover on the bourse decreased to 6.1 million dinars ($58,782/51,512 euro) on Wednesday from 441.5 million dinars on Tuesday, as 191 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the Belgrade Stock Exchange resulted in a turnover of 2.2 million dinars.
