May 20 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian lender TTK Banka [MSE:TTK] said on Wednesday that it turned to a net profit of 5.7 million denars ($103,000/93,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2019 from a net loss of 42.1 million denars in the comparable period of 2018.
The bank did not book any non-financial asset impairments in the first three months of 2019, while it booked 56.6 million denars of net non-financial asset impairments in the same period of 2018, figures from TTK Banka's interim financial statement, published last week, showed.
Net financial asset impairments fell to 20.9 million denars in the review period from 27.8 million denars a year earlier.
Net interest income declined to 64.3 million denars in the January-March period of 2019 from 67.3 million denars in the like period of last year, while net fee and commission income rose to 31.3 million denars from 29.2 million denars.
Personnel expenses remained flattish year-on-year at 38.6 million denars, while other operating expenses edged down to 32.6 million denars in the first quarter of 2019 from 34.9 million denars in the same period of 2018.
TTK Banka's total assets fell to 8.13 billion denars at the end of March from 8.29 billion denars a year earlier.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks totalled 4.85 billion denars at the end of March, up from 4.75 billion denars at the end of March 2018. Deposits from customers other than banks decreased to 6.67 billion denars at end-March from 6.80 billion denars the year before.
