May 4 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's oil refinery Okta [MSE:OKTA] said it made a net profit of 428.8 million denars ($7.3 million/7 million euro) in the first three months of 2022, significantly higher than the 144.3 million denars net profit booked in the same period a year earlier.
Sales revenue reached 11.3 billion denars in the first quarter, compared with 4.3 billion denars in the first three months of 2021, as sales grew both at home and abroad, Okta said in an interim financial statement last week.
Domestic sales went up 171% on the year to 8.9 billion denars in the January-March period, while sales in foreign markets added 135% to reach 2.4 billion denars.
Cost of goods sold were 165% higher on an annual comparison basis, as they came in at 10.7 billion denars in the first three months of the year.
Okta, a member of the Hellenic Petroleum Group, owns crude oil refining facilities with nameplate capacity of 2.5 million metric tonnes and storage facilities with a total capacity of 350 million liters.
Okta's shares traded at an average price of 3,749 denars on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on Tuesday, the latest available bourse data showed.
