August 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Komercijalna Banka [MSE:KMB] said that its consolidated net profit dropped to 676.1 million denars ($12.2 million/11.1 million euro) in the first half of 2019 from 1.33 billion denars in the same period of 2018.
Komercijalna Banka's net interest income fell to 1.17 billion denars in the first six months of the year from 1.27 billion denars the year before, the lender said in an interim financial statement on Wednesday.
Net fee and commission income rose to 491.5 million denars in the review period from 433.4 million denars in the comparable period of 2018.
Net foreign exchange gains fell to 58.3 million denars from 84.7 million denars the year before, while other operating income plunged to 194.0 million denars from 765.6 million denars.
Net financial asset impairments soared to 425.1 million denars in the period under review from 64.5 million denars in the first half of 2018, while net non-financial asset impairments shrank to 3.9 million denars from 369.8 million denars.
Komercijalna Banka's assets edged down to 114.2 billion denars at the end of June from 114.4 billion denars at the end of 2018.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks increased to 47.6 billion denars at the end of June from 46.4 billion denars six months earlier, while deposits from customers other than banks rose to 99.5 billion denars from 99.0 billion denars.
