February 14 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's power utility Elektrani na Severna Makedonija (ESM) said it signed a two-year contract worth 235.8 million denars ($4.1 million/3.8 million euro), VAT included, with local diversified company Markovski Company for locksmith-welding works at the REK Bitola thermal power plant.
Markovski Company was the sole bidder in a tender for the procurement, ESM said in a notice published on the country's public procurement portal on Tuesday.
ESM and Markovski signed the agreement on February 12.
REK Bitola accounts for over 72% of North Macedonia's total energy production.
