December 7 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's economic output expanded by 3% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, after growing by 13.1% in the previous quarter, the national statistical office said on Tuesday, citing estimated data.
The country's gross domestic product totalled 182.6 billion denars ($3.3 billion/3 billion euro) at current prices in the July-September period, the statistical office said in a statement.
Exports of goods and services rose by an annual 16% in nominal terms in the review period, while imports increased by 15.2%.
Households' final consumption, which had a 64.8% share in the GDP structure, grew by an estimated 4.8% year-on-year in the third quarter.
In 2020, North Macedonia's economic output shrank by an estimated 4.5% in real terms.
North Macedonia's 2021 budget projects economic growth at 4.1%.
