March 4 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka [MSE:CKB] said it made a net profit of 54.5 million denars ($959,600/884,341 euro) in 2023, up 43% compared with 2022, mostly due to higher income.
Net interest income went up 5.6% on the year to 299.9 million denars in 2023, whereas net fee and commission income grew 17.4% to 125 million denars, the bank said in an annual financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
The bank's assets increased to 12.4 billion denars at the end of 2023, from 11.2 billion denars a year earlier.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks amounted to 7.48 billion denars last year, compared with 7.43 billion denars in 2022, while deposits from customers other than banks increased to 9.88 billion denars from 9.41 billion denars.
The bank's shares last traded on May 31 on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), at an average price of 350 denars, bourse data showed.
