September 14 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said that the state of energy crisis introduced due to a shortage in the supply of heating to the city of Skopje and the supply of electricity across the country will be extended until April 30, 2023.
The lack of heating energy, the possibility of using alternative fuels and the overall state of the energy market all played a role in adopting the relevant measures, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.
In August, North Macedonia's government decided to declare a 30-day state of energy crisis.
In early November 2021, the government declared a 30-day state of crisis due to difficulties in power supply caused by production outages and a lack of additional sources for electricity generation.
