March 26 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's Universal Capital Bank (UCB) [MNE:FFBN] said it plans to pay a dividend from its 2023 profit, which rose to 8.26 million euro ($8.95 million) from 5.21 million euro in 2022.
The proposal will be put to the vote on April 25, UCB said in a filing with the Montenegro Stock Exchange on Monday, without disclosing the amount of the planned dividend.
In November 2023, UCB decided to distribute a dividend for 2021, paying a gross 0.1 euro per share, or 2.6 million euro in total.
UCB's equity is divided into 25,934,646 shares of 0.51 euro in nominal value each.
Podgorica-based export-import company Sigma Delta Holdings owns 83.3% of UCB, followed by local firm Sigma Delta Investments with 8.8% and Dubai-based MRI Consulting DMCC with 7.6%. The remainder belongs to smaller shareholders, bourse data showed on Tuesday.
According to the Montenegrin commercial registry, Sigma Delta Holdings is established by Greek businessman Petros Stathis who owns 100% of the company.
Stathis is also the owner of Adriatic Properties which holds the development, operating, and leasehold rights for the Sveti Stefan resort on the eponymous Adriatic island.
