August 16 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 14.9% year-on-year in June, after rising by an annual 13.5% in June, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Montenegro's consumer prices went up by 1.5% in July, after increasing by 1.8% in June, the statistical office said in a statement.
The monthly inflation rate was backed by an increase in prices of restaurants and hotels by 11.6%, in housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 2.0%, in transportation by 1.8%, in food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.7%, in furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 1.3% and in healthcare by 1.3%.
On the other hand, the prices of clothing and footwear went down 4.2% on a monthly comparison basis in July.
