March 22 (SeeNews) - Montenegro has launched the 5.2 million euro ($5.7 million) repair of the Dobrakovo landslide at a northern border crossing with Serbia, the transport ministry said.
The landslide has been active for several years now, and so far has been repaired only via temporary measures. However, this time the repair will be lasting in order to avoid the disruption of traffic at this important road connection between Montenegro and Serbia, transport minister Filip Radulovic said in a statement earlier this week, while inspecting the ongoing repair works.
He said the deadline for completing the project is September 2025.
Danilovgrad-based company Eurozox has been in charge of the landslide repair works, while Podgorica-based Geotechnics Projects & Consulting (GPC) was appointed for a project supervisor.
