CHISINAU (Moldova), October 29 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s agricultural output edged up by 0.2% on the year in the first nine months of of 2018, mainly due to a rise in livestock production by 1%, the country's statistical office, BNS, said on Monday.
Plant production edged down by 0.2% on the year in the January-September period, BNS said in a press release.

During the nine months through September households of all categories registered a drop in egg production by 2.9%, while the production of cattle and poultry rose by 4.5%.
Milk production in households of all categories dropped by 7.3%.
Moldova’s agricultural output increased by 8.6% last year, mainly due to a rise in the plant production sector.
