CHISINAU (Moldova), January 29 (SeeNews) – Moldova’s agricultural output fell by 1.9% on the year in 2019, the country's statistical office, BNS, said on Wednesday, citing preliminary data.
Livestock production declined by 6% on the year in 2019, while plant production edged down by an annual 0.3%, BNS said in a press release.

In 2019, households registered a drop in egg production by 2.2%, while the production of cattle and poultry fell by 5%. Milk production by households dropped by 10.9%.

Moldova’s agricultural output increased by 2.5% on the year in 2018, mainly due to a rise in plant production.
