November 7 (SeeNews) - Macedonian lender Stopanska Banka Bitola [MSE:SBT] said on Wednesday that its net profit grew to 61.5 million denars ($1.1 million/1 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 40.3 million denars in the like period of last year, following a rise in revenue.
The bank's net interest income increased to 257 million denars in January-September from 231.8 million denars in the same period of 2017, Stopanska Banka Bitola said in an interim financial statement.
Stopanska Banka Bitola also booked 86.5 million denars in net fee and commission income in the review period, up from 72.4 million denars the year before.
Net financial asset impairments nearly doubled to 34 million denars from 17.4 million denars a year earlier, while net non-financial asset impairments soared to 17.2 million denars from 3.7 million denars in January-September 2017.
Personnel expenses edged up to 132.9 million denars in the review period from 131.1 million denars in the like period of last year.
Other operating expenses declined to 116.2 million denars from 138.9 million denars the year before.
