SKOPJE (Macedonia), November 13 (SeeNews) – Macedonia's Ohridska Banka [MSE:OHB], a unit of France's Societe Generale, said on Tuesday that its net profit rose to 531.6 million denars ($9.7 million/8.6 million euro) in the first nine months of the year from 208.6 million denars in the same period of 2017, as a result of lower impairments.
The lender's net financial asset impaiments halved to 232.8 million denars in the January-September period from 456.4 million denars in the comparable period of 2017, Ohridska Banka said in an interim financial statement.
Net interest income edged down to 872.8 million denars in the review period from 888.7 million denars the year before, while net fee and commission income increased to 233.4 million denars from 202.9 million denars a year earlier.
Personnel expenses increased to 254 million denars in the nine months through September from 243.9 million denars in the prior-year period, while other operating expenses fell to 235.3 million denars from 272.9 million denars.
