SKOPJE (Macedonia), February 11 (SeeNews) – The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in December increased by 13.6% year-on-year to 292, the state statistical office said on Monday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by building permits issued in December increased by an annual 392.4% to 8.5 billion denars ($156 million/138 million euro), Makstat said in a statement.
In December, 172 permits were issued for new buildings, 42 for civil engineering projects, and 78 for reconstruction projects.
Of the total number of permits issued in December, 185 were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 331 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 37,669 sq m.
