SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 2 (SeeNews) – Macedonia called a tender for the second stage of a project for the rehabilitation and extension of the wastewater collection system in the central city of Prilep, a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal indicated on Tuesday.
The project relates to the installation of new sewerage pipelines including replacement of existing pipelines totaling 43 kilometres (km), the notice in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) said.
It also envisages the construction of about 1,300 manholes and up to 3,000 house connections as well as supply and installation of three pumping stations.
The works under the contract should be completed in 15 months, followed by a defect liability period of one year.
The first stage of the project is in progress and is expected to be completed by September 2016. It will include the construction of a waste water treatment plant.
Bids for the second stage should be sent by March 9, 2015.
The contracting authority is the Macedonian finance ministry.
