September 26 (SeeNews) - The main equity indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) declined on Monday on losses in index heavyweights Hrvatski Telekom and Valamar, bourse data showed.
The 22-share CROBEX shed 1.07% to close at 1,948.33 points, its seventh fall in as many trading days. The narrower index CROBEX10, which tracks the top ten companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, dropped 1.37% to close at 1,154.13 points, falling for a second day in a row.
In regular trading, shipping company Tankerska Next Generation [ZSE:TPNG], which is part of the CROBEX, but not a constituent of the CROBEX10, was the most traded share on Monday with a turnover of 7.4 million kuna ($945,000/983,00 euro). Its shares advanced 0.27% to end at 75.20 kuna.
Tankerska Next Generation said in a statement released after the end of the trading session on Monday that it has recieved a statement from peer Tankerska Plovidba that as of Friday, Tankerska Plovidba's share in Tankerska Next Generation has reached 79.64%.
Hrvatski Telekom [ZSE:HT] ranked second by turnover on Monday with a 2.5 million kuna turnover in regular trading as its hares lost 0.53% to end at 186 kuna. Besides, in block trading, it generated a turnover of 2.8 million kuna as 15,209 shares changed hands at a price of 187 kuna per share.
Shares of hotel owner and operator Valamar Riviera [ZSE:RIVP] plunged 4.50% to end at 29.70 kuna in a turnover of 957,000 kuna.
The bourse's total trading turnover reached 21.6 million kuna from 11 million kuna on Friday, boosted by the block deal with the shares of Hrvatski Telekom and by a 3.8 million kuna block deal with shares of hotel owner and operator Arena Hospitality [ZSE:ARNT].
