August 29 (SeeNews) - The two stock indices on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) closed in red territory on Monday, recording a five-day losing streak, bourse data showed.
The blue-chip SBITOP index declined 1.88% to 1,123.65 points, whereas the SBITOP TR index, which also tracks dividend distribution, fell 1.60% to 1,403.40 points, LJSE data showed.
Chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] paced the blue-chip decliners, with shares losing 3.52% to 27.40 euro.
Pharmaceutical products wholesaler Salus [LJE:SALR] was the sole riser among the blue chips, gaining 2.19% to 1,400 euro on Monday.
Energy group Petrol [LJE:PETG] generated the highest single trading turnover on the bourse on Monday - of 242,710 euro ($243,226). Its shares, however, lost 3.18% and closed at 457 euro.
LJSE's total turnover rose to 1.1 million euro on Monday from 797,943 euro on Friday.
