April 6 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) rose on Monday, mainly backed by chemicals producer Cinkarna Celje [LJE:CICG] and insurer Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG], bourse data showed.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, closed 2.66% higher at 735.66 points.
Cinkarna Celje shares gained 6.98% to 138 euro, while Zavarovalnica Triglav shares added 5.71% to 25.9 euro.
Trade in shares in pharmaceuticals producer Krka [LJE:KRKG] generated the largest portion of the day's trading turnover. Total regulated market turnover amounted to just under 1 million euro ($1.1 million) on Monday, while trade in Krka shares generated some 225,000 euro.
