September 8 (SeeNews) - Lidl Serbia, a unit of German discount store operator Lidl Stiftung & Co, said on Thursday it opened a new store in the centre of Belgrade.
With 1,400 square metres of shopping area and 110 parking slots, the store offers more than 1,800 food and non-food items, the company said in a press release.
Lidl, part of Germany's Schwarz Group, has more than 12,000 stores in 32 countries.
The chain opened its first stores in Serbia in October 2018 and currently has 63 stores in the country. It also has two logistics centres - one in Nova Pazova and another one in Lapovo.
In February, Lidl Serbia named Dragan Cigoja its new general director.
