December 10 (SeeNews) - Discount chain Lidl Bulgaria, part of Germany's Lidl Stiftung & Co, said on Monday that it has opened its 92nd store in the country, its biggest one to date.
The new store, with a built up area to 1,780 sq m, is the chain's fifth in the city of Varna, on Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, the company said in a statement.
The store also offers 151 parking spots.
In October, Lidl Bulgaria opened a new store in Sofia, while in September it opened a store in Plovdiv.
In June, Lidl Bulgaria said it plans to open five more stores by the end of the year in the cities of Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv, bringing its total stores in the country to 94.
Lidl entered the Bulgarian market in 2010. Lidl Bulgaria operates stores in 46 cities, employing over 2,500 people.
Lidl, part of Germany's Schwarz-Gruppe is a global discount supermarket chain, based in Neckarsulm, Germany.
