May 21 (SeeNews) - Kostal Bulgaria Automotive, a unit of German car parts manufacturer Kostal, has opened a new manufacturing unit at its plant in the city of Pazardzhik, the government said.
The company plans to hire some 1,000 employees at the new unit by the end of the year, the government said in an e-mailed statement on Monday.

The new production hall is spreading on 13,000 sq m.
The plant in Pazardzhik, in southern Bulgaria, produces annually around 250,000 steering wheels for Volkswagen and around 100,000 for BMW, Bulgarian prime minister Boyko Borissov said during the opening ceremony.
The plant in Pazardzhik opened in 2017. It is Kostal's third production facility in Bulgaria. The plant manufactures automotive components for brands such as Peugeot, Volkswagen, Porsche and others.
