July 25 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 30.5% year-on-year to 418.1 million euro ($426.2 million) in June, the country's statistical office said.
Exports rose by 2.4% year-on-year to 74.6 million euro, while imports increased by 25.3% to 492.8 million euro in June, the statistical office said in a statement on Friday.
Kosovo's main export destinations in June were the U.S., North Macedonia and Albania. Base metals, various manufactured articles and plastics and rubber products were Kosovo's main export items.
Mineral products, base metals and food products made up the bulk of Kosovo's imports in June. Most of the imports originated in Turkey, Germany and China.
Kosovo's trade deficit increased by 38.3% year-on-year to 3.9 billion euro in 2021.
