September 21 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by a real 2.14% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2022, after increasing by 4.87% in the previous three-month period, the statistical office said.
Measured at current prices, Kosovo's GDP totaled 2.1 billion euro ($2.08 billion) in the April-June period, the Kosovo Agency of Statistics said in a statement on Tuesday.
The sectors that had the biggest positive contribution to Kosovo's economic growth in the second quarter of 2022 were wholesale and retail trade, transportation, accommodation and food service activities, financial and insurance activities and information and communications.
Kosovo's economy expanded by 10.53% in 2021, after shrinking by 4.14% the year before.
Earlier in September, Kosovo's central bank said it expects the country's economic output to increase by 3% in 2022.
