May 18 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's government has allocated 10.9 million euro ($11.8 million) for the implementation of an emergency fiscal relief package aimed at supporting businesses and individuals affected by the coronavirus crisis, the prime minister's office said.
The ministry of economy, employment, trade, industry, entrepreneurship and strategic investments will receive some 9.4 million euro, while 1.5 million euro will be allocated to the ministry of finance and transfers, the prime minister's office said in a statement on Sunday.
Kosovo's government approved the emergency fiscal relief package on March 30.
The package aims to assist companies in covering operating expenses in order to ensure a minimum salary for all workers during the emergency situation, continued operation of businesses during and after the crisis, as well as provide additional financial assistance to the poorest after the COVID-19 pandemic, the prime minister's office said earlier.
